Human-centered leadership and management practices correspond to Yves Poullet’s own conviction and experience, firmed-up over almost 30 years of professional experience. And still evolving.

At its core is a firm belief in people: their background, talents, skills and experiences. Their capacity to understand, change, develop, create, take ownership. Their good intentions towards colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

In that context, leadership is an act of care by creating an environment in which people can express, learn and develop their talents while showing their sense of responsibility. In which people sense that their job is meaningful and that they are appreciated.

This approach combines inclusion, collective intelligence, a mindful feedback culture, authenticity and humility, transparency, psychological safety, maximum empowerment, accountability and continuous learning. It is based on mutual trust and respect, where people treat each other as adults – irrespective of functions and hierarchy.

Modern leadership and management literature demonstrate that such approach leads to superior performance, sustainable changes and higher resilience. This is also Yves’ experience.

Shagane and ESG. As an extension to his belief in sustainable approaches and as a token to the value he attaches to sustainable Environmental, Social and Governances (ESG) practices, Yves offers one solidary coaching programme for each ten coaching programmes paid. These solidary coaching programmes are offered to NGO’s or social-profit organisations whose activities are in line with the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Meet Yves Poullet

Yves has 15 years of C-level experience at a global financial market infrastructure where he subsequently was COO and CEO for the Banking entity, and CTO (chief technology officer) for the Group. He has been extensively involved with Boards of Directors in diverse capacities. Today, he is an independent non-executive director at a European insurance group and at a large Belgian hospital group.

His experience in a broad range of corporate topics (leadership, transformation and change management, digitalisation, cyber, risk management, culture, strategy, people management, corporate governance, and crisis management) serve as an inspiration for the executive coaching journeys he conducts today.

Yves has always had a passion for philosophy and personal development and grew a true interest for coaching-based leadership and people development. His fascination for people’s talent, together with his core value of non-judgement and a true belief that everyone has the capacity to shape a better world have all led to his decision in 2018 to coach senior executives and boards / management teams.
